Dr. Jeffrey D. Harris obtained his Bachelor in Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara, with a degree in Biology. He later continued his academic career at the Inter American University of Puerto Rico, where he completed his doctorate in Optometry. During his 4 years in San Juan, he became fluent in Spanish and met his wife Irene.

In 2001 Dr. Harris and Irene moved to Southern California where he practiced Optometry for nearly 8 years. During that time he had the distinct privilege of working as the team Optometrist to the Los Angeles Angels, the Anaheim Ducks hockey team, and USA Men's Volleyball team; all during their championship years!

In 2009 Dr. Harris and his family moved to Oregon. He came to fill the big shoes of the late Dr. Kamelia Massih, a lady and an entrepreneur, at Beaverton Vision World. Dr. Massih had been an established and successful member of the Beaverton business community for nearly 20 years.

Part of Dr. Massih’s vision and plan was to open another practice in Tigard. But sadly, her plans were interrupted by an illness that ended her life. In August of 2011 Dr. Harris and his staff opened the doors of Tigard Vision World, with the hope and inspiration to continue Dr. Massih’s legacy and see her dream come alive.
